...for posture and over and above that simply a nuisance? Don't you think that it will encourage them to drag their heels when they are wearing normal shoes as they will get into a bad habit and also wear out their normal shoes more quickly?

my daughter got a pair for her birthday last year, to be honest Joan she's hardly wore them, they're really a toy, not for wearing all the time, so I don't think they'd effect posture, etc, plus you click a button on them and the wheel goes in to the heel so they're like normal trainers, at the end of the day there meant to be fun for kids, like roller blades, skateboards, bikes etc, just because they haven't been around for years and years doesn't mean they're bad, plus as for a danger, everythings a bloody danger, kids are more wrapped up in cotton wool nowadays than they ever were before, ffs, I'm amazed a lot of parents even let their kids get out their bed in the morning!
